IMPERIAL AGENT FINAL PART

Once again apologies for the delay. The figure was completed by giving the ammo pouches a base coat of flat brown, highlighted with chocolate brown (both Vallejo) and a wash of gw gryphon sepia. I tackled the daunting prospect of the freehand design on the back of the cloak by mixing white and olive green (ratio of at least 10/1) with some retarder medium to stop the paint drying out,  the design was practiced first on paper then I built it up on the figure using multiple layers until I was happy with the overall result. I wanted a brighter, stronger image than the more subdued studio version. I was unable to get as much detail on as I would have liked but got as close as I could with my skill level.

The base from mico art studio was given a basecoat of white, then the grooves were picked out using dark sea blue. The posters/papers were given a wash of devlan mud by gw. The Nippon design was painted using mephiston red)(gw) and highlighted scarlet red (Vallejo) . The hexes were then detailed with medium sea grey, leaving white edging at each groove to give maximum contrast to the blue. Sadly I fixed the figure to the base before I painted it, making it very difficult to get access to some parts of the base. To correct/cover some mistakes I had made I used mig pigments ‘RUST’ to cover/weather some areas on the base I could not paint as neatly as I would have liked. The figure was given a satin varnish to protect it and the lower base painted black to match the other figures in my collection..

This ends my step by step guide to this figure, I hope you have enjoyed it. On to the next one!

  2. I absetuloly love how your hair came out! I wonder if I had that one or the patience, mine would look like that. I also wonder if it's the same brand a Japanese sylist use to use on my hair…I always loved how straight he got my hair.
